Signature of the UNESCO Convention for the recognition of higher education qualifications, Paris 13 November 2019
At the high-level meeting dedicated to inclusion and mobility in higher education, which took place during the 40th Session of the UNESCO General Confederation on 13 November 2019, where the rectors of universities with a UNESCO Chair were invited, materials for the UNESCO Convention for the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education (a qualification passport) and for international measures to improve inclusion and mobility in higher education were shared. In line with the Education Agenda 2030 and current global trends in higher education, the Convention aims to facilitate student mobility, improve access and quality of higher education institutions in regions and continents and strengthen international cooperation in higher education.
The University of Basilicata has also signed the document together with many other universities in the world. All the preparatory documents discussed during the work carried out in November 2019 in Paris are online, and the final version of the text is soon to be published.
